Cosmo’s Update
Cosmo arrived at Hope & Healing Animal Sanctuary in November 2025 as a shut-down, severely emaciated one-year-old. With a body condition score of just 1.5, he was frightened, weak, and unsure of people—but after everything he had been through, who could blame him?
His first week with us was touch and go as he worked to regain his strength. With careful nutrition, rehabilitation, patience, and gentle care, Cosmo slowly began to heal. Over the following months, he grew stronger, brighter, and more confident.
In May, after months of recovery, Cosmo found his new home! He will now begin an exciting new chapter learning vaulting. We are incredibly proud of this brave boy and so excited to watch his future unfold.
Captain’s Success Story
Captain arrived at Hope & Healing Animal Sanctuary in September 2025 as a frightened three-month-old. He needed time, patience, and a safe place to simply be a baby.
Over the next several months, Captain was given the care and space he needed to grow, heal, and learn that people could be kind. Little by little, his personality began to shine through, and he became stronger and more confident each day.
Eight months later, Captain found his forever home. He is continuing to grow and thrive with his loving family, and we are so grateful to receive updates on how well he is doing. Seeing Captain happy, safe, and loved is exactly why we do this work.
Milo’s Update
Milo was surrendered to Hope & Healing Animal Sanctuary due to unfortunate circumstances. A special part of his story is that his mom, Melody, is also safe here at our sanctuary.
Milo spent a few months with us learning to be a proper citizen, and he was always eager to please. His sweet personality and willingness to learn made him impossible not to love.
Then a young girl came to meet Milo—and it was love at first sight. We knew their connection was something special, so we worked to make their match possible and were able to surprise her with Milo.
Today, Milo and his girl are an incredible team. We are so happy that this deserving boy found the loving home and bright future he deserved.
Lolli’s Update
Allens Baby, now lovingly known as Lolli, is doing fantastic in her new home!
Lolli came to Hope & Healing Animal Sanctuary when her owner needed to be stationed overseas. She spent the winter with us, receiving care, companionship, and a safe place to wait for her next chapter.
In April, Lolli went to her new home, where she is thriving. We are so happy for this sweet girl and grateful that she has found the loving future she deserves.
Princess Nyssa’s Update
Tilly, now lovingly known as Princess Nyssa, came to Hope & Healing Animal Sanctuary in September 2025 as a misunderstood three-year-old.
Nyssa needed time, patience, and someone to believe in her. Together, we worked hard to build her confidence, help her feel safe, and give her the understanding she needed to shine.
After months of waiting, Nyssa went to her new home in New York in May. She now has a young girl who loves her endlessly—making her birthday cakes, showering her with affection, and perhaps believing Princess Nyssa is entirely hers!
We are so happy for Nyssa and love receiving updates on the beautiful life she is living with her new family.
